Protection of port infrastructure in the cities of Odesa and Chornomorsk in Odesa Oblast is being strengthened.

Quote: "We are strengthening protection: increasing the number of mobile fire groups, reinforcing interceptor UAV crews, expanding electronic warfare capabilities and coordination with the military. In percentage terms, interception effectiveness has already increased by 25-35%."

Details: Kuleba said that the intensity of attacks on the port infrastructure of Odesa and Chornomorsk has increased in 2026: while there were about 150 attacks throughout 2025, there have already been more than 180 now.

"The enemy launches large-scale strikes and is increasing the number of UAVs," the minister added.

Background: On the night of 21-22 March, Russian attack drones damaged two civilian commercial vessels flying the flags of Palau and Barbados in Odesa Oblast.
