Adviser to Ukraine's defence minister reveals contents of new Russian Klin drone

Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov, an adviser to Ukraine's defence minister, has revealed the internal components of the Klin, a new Russian strike drone recently shot down by Ukraine's defence forces. The rare UAV was first demonstrated by Russian forces last October.

Details: Flash says Klin has a warhead of up to 5 kg. The drone is equipped with an automatic target acquisition system and an airburst capability.

The rare Russian UAV also has a flight range of up to 120 km and can remain airborne for up to 90 minutes. Klin's maximum speed is up to 120 km/h, according to its manufacturer.

Background:

  • The Russians unveiled Klin at an exhibition in Russia in October 2025. At the time, it was explained that the UAV is equipped with artificial intelligence for target detection.
  • Ukrainska Pravda reported earlier that a rare Russian Klin drone had been shot down by the General Cherry AIR, a Ukrainian-made interceptor drone.
