The UN Security Council will convene on Monday 23 March at the request of the Ukrainian delegation to discuss Russia's missile terror against Ukraine.

Details: The meeting will be chaired by US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau, as the United States holds the Security Council presidency in March.

From the United Nations Secretariat, briefings will be delivered by Rosemary DiCarlo, Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs, and a representative of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 15:00 ET (21:00 Kyiv time).

Background: In January, the UN Security Council held an emergency meeting at Ukraine's request over Russian attacks, including the use of the Oreshnik intermediate-range ballistic missile.
