Quote: "Today, our negotiating team delivered a report after returning from the United States. Unfortunately, there has been no real progress – Russia has no desire to move toward peace."
Details: Zelenskyy added that it is important for Ukraine, the US, the Europeans and other global actors to do everything possible and necessary to ensure that Russia becomes genuinely and sincerely interested in diplomacy.
Quote: "And… not just to profit more from oil and buy more time for further attacks and aggression. Peace must be reliable – that is our goal, and it will be achieved. And we will respond to attacks. That is certain."
Background: Zelenskyy has instructed the Ukrainian negotiation team to continue working as actively as possible with Ukraine's partners so that diplomacy is substantive and humanitarian issues such as prisoner exchanges are resolved. He also instructed the team to brief European and Canadian partners on the meetings in Florida.
