Details: Ukrainian servicemen note that Russian forces are increasing attempts day by day to bring as many of their troops as possible into Kostiantynivka. The Russians are advancing in small infantry groups. The defence forces have also repelled mechanised assaults, but this time the opponent tried to outmanoeuvre the defenders.
Quote: "As a diversionary manoeuvre, the Russians launched two 'masked' tanks from the direction of Toretsk, while three infantry groups were meant to carry out the assault from different directions. The first moved in the area of Ivanopillia, the second rode motorcycles along the road towards Pokrovsk, and the third – 'special forces in ghillie suits' – was to advance near the railway line. The plan seemed to the Russians 'as reliable as a Swiss watch'.
However, our pilots from the Unmanned Systems Battalion Spalakh, Kurt&Company, R.V. from the 3rd Battalion and the 1st Mechanised Battalion, together with adjacent units from the Security Service of Ukraine, the National Guard and the Ground Forces, destroyed one armoured 'decoy' and quickly dealt with the first and second groups using FPV drones and munition drops.
The 'special forces' stood out the most. One of them got lost under fire and was captured by our infantry. Of all the 'tricksters', he was the only one lucky enough to stay alive."
Details: The timeframe of the operation has not been disclosed.
