Quote: "Our joint work continues every day, negotiations are ongoing, and new exchanges will take place. I very much hope that on Easter we will all see a major exchange. And we will do everything necessary for this."

Details: Budanov noted that over the course of the Headquarters' work, more than 70 exchanges have taken place and over 8,500 Ukrainians have returned home.

He emphasised that many exchanges would have been "almost impossible" without Ukraine's foreign partners, adding that the United States and the United Arab Emirates in particular provided significant assistance in this regard.

Background: On 4 March, 200 more defenders were returned to Ukraine from Russian captivity – this was the first stage of the exchange pursuant to agreements reached in Geneva.
