Russia has accused a British diplomat of espionage and expelled him.

Details: Russia's Federal Security Service said it had uncovered an "undeclared intelligence presence" and claimed that the British diplomat had "provided false information about himself".

He was also accused of attempting to gather information about the Russian economy during informal meetings.
As a result, Russia has revoked the diplomat's accreditation and ordered him to leave the country within two weeks.
