Russians strike Lutsk: Nova Poshta hub and food warehouses on fire – photo

Russian forces have hit an industrial facility in the city of Lutsk in Volyn Oblast on the morning of 1 April. A Nova Poshta hub and a food warehouse have been on fire.

Details: Emergency services are working at the scene and information about casualties is being confirmed.

An air-raid warning remains in effect in the oblast, with authorities urging residents to stay in shelters until the all-clear is given.

Update: Polishchuk later reported that the Russians had targeted warehouses.

"One of Nova Poshta's hubs and a food warehouse owned by a retail chain were identified as strategic targets for the attack. A balcony in one of the high-rise residential buildings was also damaged, where a fire broke out," he said.

Polishchuk added that no information about casualties had been received as of 07:30.

Nova Poshta stated that the company's distribution hub had been destroyed.

"The Russians attacked the city with drones in the morning: the Nova Poshta distribution hub has been destroyed. All employees were in shelters at the time of the strike and were not injured. An assessment of the damage is ongoing," it said.

Nova Poshta added that detailed information regarding damaged shipments will be available after the aftermath of the strike has been dealt with.

"The company will compensate customers for lost parcels. We will contact you shortly with details of compensation. Additional information about parcels can be found via tracking in the app," it added.

Background: An air-raid warning was issued in several Ukrainian oblasts on the night of 31 March-1 April due to the threat of Russian attack drones.
