Details: The ministry said that during the first month of spring, 89.9% of Russian missiles and drones were intercepted or jammed. In total, 5,935 Russian aerial assets failed to reach their targets during this period.

According to the ministry's data, the interception and successful jamming rate was 85.6% in February, 82.5% in January and 80.2% in December.

"These figures reflect the introduction of new air defence capabilities and the further development of proven ones. We are moving closer to the goal set in Ukraine's War Plan – to intercept at least 95% of missiles and drones," the ministry added.

Previously: Ukrainian Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov reported recently that a government-launched pilot project which involves the private sector in air defence is being implemented and is already showing results. Several Russian drones, including Shaheds and Zalas, have been shot down in Kharkiv Oblast.

In early March, the Ukrainian government expanded the capabilities and support for private air defence groups established at critical infrastructure facilities across Ukraine.
