Russia confirms preparations for Easter POW exchange with Ukraine

Tatyana Moskalkova, Russia's Human Rights Commissioner, has confirmed that preparations are underway ahead of Easter for organising an exchange of prisoners of war with Ukraine.

Details: Moskalkova also said there is an agreement to allow POWs to receive Easter cakes and meet with a priest. She did not specify the format of the possible upcoming exchange.
Background:
- On 26 March, Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, said he hopes that a "major exchange" of prisoners of war will take place at Easter.
- "Our joint work continues every day, negotiations are ongoing, and new exchanges will take place. I very much hope that we will all see a major exchange at Easter. And we will do whatever it takes to make this happen," he said.
