EU Ambassador to Ukraine Katarína Mathernová has condemned today's Russian strikes on Ukrainian cities.

Details: Mathernová noted that the new wave of strikes took place while some Christians were observing Good Friday.

Background:
- During 3 April, Russian strikes affected not only Kyiv Oblast but also Zhytomyr Oblast and Kharkiv and Pavlohrad as well as frontline cities, particularly Kramatorsk and Kherson, leaving people killed and injured.
- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has invited a US negotiating delegation to Kyiv.
- He also said Ukraine will finalise a document on security guarantees from the United States in the coming days.
