Details: In total, more than 13,000 such incidents have been recorded since the start of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine.
Quote: "The enemy uses K-51 and RG-Vo gas grenades, as well as improvised containers filled with CS and CN agents. The main delivery method is dropping them from unmanned aerial vehicles. Such means are most often used against the positions of Ukraine's defence forces in order to gain a tactical advantage in key areas by forcing personnel to leave their cover."
Details: The General Staff noted that the radiation, chemical and biological protection units of the Support Forces are recording cases involving hazardous chemical substances, and the samples collected are being sent for forensic examination. The highest intensity of use was recorded in April 2025, with 894 cases.
Quote: "Analysis of the dynamics indicates an increase in the intensity of the use of such substances in the spring and summer period. In 2024, the peak occurred in May and June (more than 700 and 600 cases respectively), and also in May and June in 2025 (more than 800 and 700). Taking this trend into account, a further increase in the number of such attacks is expected."
