Police captain killed in Kherson in Russian FPV drone attack – photo

A Russian FPV drone attacked a service vehicle of a special purpose police battalion on Sunday in Kherson, killing Police Captain Vitalii Kukharchuk.

Quote: "This morning in the Central district of Kherson, an enemy FPV drone attacked a service vehicle of fighters from the special purpose police (rifle) regiment of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kherson Oblast.

Unfortunately, as a result of the explosion, Police Captain Vitalii Kukharchuk sustained fatal injuries."

Details: In the summer of 2024, Kukharchuk joined the special purpose police (rifle) regiment of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kherson Oblast and until today, as part of a mobile fire group, had been protecting the city's residents from Russian drones. The police officer had dozens of destroyed Russian UAVs to his credit.
