Details: On 5 April, Russian authorities reported that the NORSI refinery caught fire as a result of a drone attack. Nizhny Novgorod Oblast governor Gleb Nikitin said that two facilities at the plant were hit, and a power station and several buildings were also damaged.
According to the St Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange, Lukoil has since not offered gasoline, diesel fuel or fuel oil for sale from the refinery, which is located about 450 km east of Moscow.
Industry sources told Reuters on 7 April that supplies might be suspended until the end of April.
The NORSI refinery, which is also Russia's second-largest gasoline producer, has a processing capacity of 16 million metric tonnes of oil per year, or about 320,000 barrels per day.
Background: Russia's Urals crude is currently trading at its highest price in the past 13 years.
