"A local resident found it this morning," Tuul said.
Early assessment indicates that the find is part of a Ukrainian drone.
As investigative actions are currently ongoing, KaPo is not yet able to provide additional information about what occurred.
Background:
- During Ukraine's series of strikes on Russian ports around St Petersburg in late March, several drones strayed onto the territory of the Baltic states and Finland.
- On 31 March, another stray Ukrainian drone that had crashed in Estonia was found there; in total, approximately 10 UAVs may have violated the airspace.
- Ukraine's Foreign Ministry apologised to the Baltic states and Finland over these incidents, noting that this was most likely the result of Russian electronic warfare interference.
