Total of 55 attacks recorded at Ukrainian front line since start of day

A total of 55 attacks by Russian forces have been recorded at the front line from the start of the day as of 16:00 on 12 April, despite the so-called "Easter ceasefire" being in effect.

Details: Russia is shelling border areas. The settlements of Tovstodubove, Iskryskivshchyna, and Bachivsk in Sumy Oblast came under attack on Sunday 12 April.

On the North Slobozhanshchyna front and in the operational zone in Russia's Kursk Oblast, the Russians carried out nine strikes on Ukrainian settlements and military positions.

On the South Slobozhanshchyna front, the Russians made seven attempts to improve their position in the areas of Synelnykove, Starytsia, Izbytske and Vovchansk. One attack is ongoing.

On the Kupiansk front, Russian forces twice carried out assault actions in the areas of Petropavlivka and Podoly. One of these attacks is ongoing.

On the Lyman front, Ukrainian troops are repelling two Russian attempts to advance towards Lyman.

On the Sloviansk front, the Russians attacked four times in the direction of Ozerne, Kalenyky and Rai-Oleksandrivka.

On the Kramatorsk front, the Russians attacked once in the area of Markove.

On the Kostiantynivka front, Russians forces carried out 11 attacks near the settlements of Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Illinivka, Novopavlivka and Kucheriv Yar. One assault action is ongoing.

On the Pokrovsk front, since the start of the day the Russians have made 14 attempts to push Ukrainian troops from their positions in the areas of Bilytske, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Zatyshok, Hryshyne, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Molodetske, Muravka and Novopavlivka. One Russian assault action is continuing.

On the Oleksandrivka front, the Russians attacked five times in the direction of Zelenyi Hai, Oleksandrohrad, Sichneve, Kalynivske and Verbove.

On the Huliaipole front, nine attacks took place in the direction of defenders' positions in the areas of Zaliznychne, Staroukrainka, Myrne, Varvarivka and Huliaipole.

Background: As of the morning of 12 April, Ukraine's General Staff reported that 2,299 violations of the ceasefire regime, which began at 16:00 the previous day, had been recorded.
