A series of explosions was heard in the Russian-occupied city of Melitopol in Zaporizhzhia Oblast and in Crimea on the night of 13-14 April.

Details: Local Telegram channels reported that explosions had been heard for several hours in different parts of Crimea, including Simferopol, Feodosiia and Kerch.

Specifically, intense blasts and gunfire were reported near the Tavriyskaya Thermal Power Plant, where at least two powerful explosions were recorded. Explosions were also heard near the Hvardiiske air base where, according to early reports, infrastructure facilities may have been targeted.

Explosions were also reported in temporarily occupied Melitopol, after which parts of the city experienced a blackout.
