Russians once again strike Danube port infrastructure facilities

Russian forces launched yet another attack on port infrastructure facilities on the Danube on the night of 14-15 April.

Details: Production and warehouse facilities and an office building were damaged as a result of the strikes. Fires broke out at some of the sites and were promptly extinguished, the ASPU noted.
No casualties were reported. Work is underway to repair the damaged facilities.
"Despite persistent attacks, the ports continue to operate as usual, subject to security restrictions, ensuring the continuity of logistics processes," the ASPU stated.
Background:
- A civilian vessel sailing under the Panamanian flag and port infrastructure in the city of Izmail in Odesa Oblast sustained damage as a result of a Russian strike on the night of 13-14 April.
- In 2025, the Danube ports of Izmail, Reni and Ust-Dunaysk handled over 8.9 million tonnes of cargo, supporting Ukraine's export capabilities.
