Two killed and 27 injured in Russian strike on residential areas in Dnipro – photos, video

Russian forces launched strikes on the city of Dnipro on the night of 15-16 April, causing several fires. Two people have been killed and 27 injured.

Quote: "The enemy conducted strikes on Dnipro.

Several fires broke out. Early reports indicated casualties."

Update: Hanzha later reported that the Russians had struck residential areas in Dnipro.

Quote: "Fires have broken out at several locations. A five-storey residential building has been damaged and a house has been partially destroyed. Early reports indicated that a person might be trapped under the rubble."

Update: Hanzha said that five people had been injured in the Russian attack.

Three of them have been hospitalised. A 40-year-old woman is in a critical condition.

Hanzha later added that the number of people injured had risen.

Quote: "Ten people have been injured in the Russian attack on Dnipro. Seven of them are in hospital.

They have traumatic brain injuries, shrapnel wounds and blast injuries."

Update: Hanzha reported after 04:00 that one person had been killed.

He also added that residential buildings, garages and cars are on fire. An educational institution was damaged.

Hanzha wrote after 06:00 that the number of those killed and injured in Dnipro had increased.

Quote: "Two people have been killed and 27 injured as a result of the overnight Russian attack on Dnipro.

Fourteen are in hospital. Five of them are in a critical condition."
