Ukrenergo, Ukraine's state-owned electricity transmission operator, reports that electricity consumption is increasing. As of 09:30 on 24 April, its level was 3.5% higher than at the same time the previous day, Thursday 23 April.

The reason for the change is the persistent cold weather across the whole of Ukraine, as well as heavy cloud cover in most regions, which reduces the efficiency of domestic solar power generation and leads to a corresponding increase in energy consumption from the main grid.
