Ukraine Defence Contact Group has provided Ukraine with US$150bn in aid, Defence Ministry reports

The Ukraine Defence Contact Group (also known as the Ramstein format) has provided Ukraine with more than US$150 billion in military assistance over four years to strengthen the country's defence.

Details: 26 April marks the fourth anniversary of the establishment of the Ramstein format.

The Defence Ministry reported that under agreements reached within the Ramstein framework, Ukraine received a wide range of weapons, including NASAMS, Patriot and IRIS-T air defence systems, Leopard and Abrams tanks, HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems, PzH 2000 self-propelled artillery systems and M113 armoured personnel carriers, as well as F-16 and Mirage-2000 aircraft.

More than 50 countries from different continents are supporting Ukraine's critical defence needs. Over US$150 billion has already been provided, along with an additional US$5 billion through the Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) initiative.
