Details: The ministry said Araghchi will meet with senior Russian officials during the visit. He is expected to discuss the current state of negotiations with the US, a potential ceasefire and related issues.
He is also expected to be received by Putin.
Quote from Jalali: "If there are any initiatives, both sides will consult and hold discussions regarding them, as well as joint initiatives."
Background: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the US had ignored compelling evidence that Russia is assisting Iran in attacks on American bases in the Middle East because Washington "trusts" Putin.
