Quote: "There is a task for the Minister of Defence of Ukraine and the General Staff – at least 50,000 UGVs [unmanned ground vehicles] this year. Everyone must understand: this is about saving lives. Logistics on the front line, evacuation of the wounded, combat missions – the use of UGVs is now expanding at the fastest pace. And this is exactly how it should be."
Details: Zelenskyy said he had held a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief on Monday 27 April at which ground robotic systems were a key topic of discussion. He described them as "the next big step" in Ukraine's defence.
Zelenskyy stressed that production and supply volumes must be increased, noting that the contracted volume for this year is already more than double last year's.
