Quote: "During a visual inspection, oily yellow patches were detected on the surface of the water.

The pollution extends along the coastline for approximately 700 metres, in some places spreading into the sea at a distance of one to fifteen metres."

Details: Measures are currently being taken at the site to deal with the aftermath of the attack and prevent further spread of the pollution.

The contamination is linked to the destruction of an oil storage tank as a result of the airstrike carried out by Russian forces on 26 April.

During the inspection, a young swan with traces of oil on its feathers was also found. The bird was removed and transferred to the Odesa Zoo for treatment.
