Slovakia supports Ukraine's EU membership, Zelenskyy says after call with Slovak PM

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has reported about his phone call with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico.

Details: Zelenskyy stressed the need for strong relations between the two countries, adding that "both of us are interested in this".
Quote: "It was important to hear that Slovakia supports Ukraine's membership in the European Union and is ready to share its experience of accession."
More details: Zelenskyy also invited Fico to Kyiv and thanked him for his invitation to visit Bratislava.

Background:
- On 30 April, the European Commission said Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico and Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić should visit Kyiv on 9 May to demonstrate their support, rather than travel to Moscow.
- Fico told Brussels to forget about Slovakia supporting Ukraine's accelerated EU accession until the oil flow via the Druzhba pipeline is resumed.
