Another Russian ship sunk: Zelenskyy reports destruction of Kalibr missile carrier

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has reported that another vessel, a Kalibr missile carrier, was struck in addition to the oil tankers reported earlier, bringing the total number of destroyed vessels to three.

Details: Yevhenii Khmara, acting Head of the Security Service of Ukraine, reported the destruction of the Kalibr carrier to the president. The strike was a joint operation by the Security Service of Ukraine, the Unmanned Systems Forces, the Special Operations Forces, Defence Intelligence of Ukraine and border guards.

Quote: "The Karakurt-class missile ship was hit, along with a patrol boat and another tanker from the shadow oil fleet.

Significant damage was also inflicted on the infrastructure of the oil terminal port. Each such result further limits Russia's war potential.

I have also approved additional, entirely justified responses by the Security Service of Ukraine to Russian strikes on our cities and villages."

Background: Prior to this, Zelenskyy released a video showing strikes on two vessels belonging to Russia's shadow oil fleet near the port of Novorossiysk in Russia's Krasnodar Krai.
