Ukraine's drone forces begin new wave of strikes on Russian air defence systems – video

Robert "Magyar" Brovdi, Commander of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces, has released a video showing the destruction of Russian air defence systems in temporarily occupied territories.

Quote: "The May air defence fall has begun: two anti-aircraft missile systems, two radars, six airspace monitoring systems, deployment sites of the Rubicon and Shtorm units, a telecommunications centre in Mariupol, and more."

Details: Brovdi also reported that Ukrainian drones struck Primorsk in Leningrad Oblast.

The Unmanned Systems Forces hit Russian assets in temporarily occupied areas of Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Luhansk oblasts, in particular:

  • a Pantsir-S1 air defence missile and gun system in Novyi Svit, Donetsk Oblast
  • a Tor surface-to-air missile system in Markivska, Luhansk Oblast
  • a P-18 radar in Heraskivka, Luhansk Oblast
  • a P-18 radar in Sofiivka, Zaporizhzhia Oblast
  • a deployment site of Rubicon, Russia's most advanced drone unit, in Mariupol
  • a deployment site of the Shtorm unit in Kamianuvate, Donetsk Oblast
  • a telecommunications centre in Mariupol
  • six airspace monitoring systems
  • a Russian repair base in Kadiivka, Luhansk Oblast.

Background: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has released a video showing strikes on two vessels belonging to Russia's shadow oil fleet near the port of Novorossiysk in Russia's Krasnodar Krai.
