Quote: "Krasnopillia hromada. A 52-year-old local woman has been killed as a result of a Russian attack. The woman was herding cows when an enemy shell exploded nearby. She sustained extremely severe injuries." [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]

Details: Hryhorov said residents of the village drove the wounded woman to meet medics, but her life could not be saved.

Livestock was also affected by the Russian strike. "This is a border area, and it is extremely dangerous to stay here. Once again, I urge people not to risk their lives and to evacuate to safer places," Hryhorov added.

Background: Hryhorov reported earlier that Russian forces had attacked a civilian car in the Stepanivka hromada in Sumy Oblast on the morning of 7 May. The driver survived because he had got out of the car to buy coffee, but the vehicle burned out completely.
