Details: Sybiha reported that Dublin has notified the Council of Europe of its willingness to join the Enlarged Partial Agreement on the establishment of the Special Tribunal and thanked Ireland for this decision.

"This is a logical step given Ireland's consistent and principled support of all accountability efforts," Sybiha stated.

He called on a wider circle of countries to join the process. "Justice for the crime of aggression against Ukraine is essential for a lasting peace in Europe," the Ukrainian foreign minister stressed.

The agreement on the establishment of the Special Tribunal will be put to the vote at a meeting of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe in Chișinău on 14-15 May.

The Ukrainian government expects that the Special Tribunal's remit will cover not only the actions of Russia's top officials, but also countries that provided Moscow with direct support in the war against Ukraine.
