Russian attack on high-rise building in Kharkiv: five injured, including two children

Russian forces carried out a drone strike on Kharkiv's Industrialnyi district on the evening of 9 May, during the so-called truce, hitting a nine-storey residential building. Five people were injured, including two 8-year-old boys.

Details: Syniehubov reported that the Russians struck Kharkiv's Industrialnyi district with a UAV. A hit was recorded on a nine-storey residential building.

He later said that an 8-year-old boy suffered an acute stress reaction as a result of the strike, and medics were providing the child with the necessary assistance.

Syniehubov clarified that the Russian drone had hit the plant room of the residential building. Emergency services are currently dealing with the aftermath of the attack.

Meanwhile, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said that the strike on the plant room damaged the lift shaft and shattered around 30 windows. Inspections of the building are ongoing.

Later, the number of those who sustained injuries in the attack rose to three. Doctors diagnosed all of them with acute stress reactions.

At 23:18, Syniehubov reported that another 8-year-old boy had suffered an acute stress reaction in the Russian strike on Kharkiv's Industrialnyi district, bringing the number of injured to four.

It later increased to five.
