Russia strikes Ukraine's railway infrastructure 23 times in one day

Russia has carried out 23 strikes on railway infrastructure facilities across Ukraine since the beginning of 13 May, causing damage.

Details: According to the Office of the President, 23 hits on railway facilities have been recorded.

Passenger casualties were avoided, as trains were stopped in time and people were evacuated.

One railway employee was injured while heading to a shelter.

In Zdolbuniv, Rivne Oblast, among the civilian fatalities were two railway workers who were off duty at the time, and one person was injured.

Damage was reported to 3 locomotives, 7 suburban train carriages, 8 freight wagons, 5 traction substations, 5 depots and 2 bridges.

Background: Including the overnight wave on 12-13 May, Russia has launched 892 drones, while Ukraine's air defence has downed or jammed 710 Russian UAVs. Strikes by 36 attack drones have been recorded.
