Russians hit train in Zaporizhzhia Oblast with drone, injuring two

Russians have attacked a suburban train in Zaporizhzhia Oblast with a drone, injuring two passengers who were not able to evacuate in time; they sustained shrapnel wounds.

Quote: "The strike occurred near one of the carriages. Ukrzaliznytsia's monitoring centre alerted the locomotive crew to the air threat, after which the train was stopped and passenger evacuation began."

Details: Ukrzaliznytsia noted that time was "extremely limited". Early information indicates two passengers who had not yet managed to evacuate sustained fragmentation wounds.

The people injured in the attack received first aid and were handed over to medics. Railway workers are accompanying the passengers at the medical facility.

Railway workers are currently working to restore train movement on the section and monitoring the security situation in the region.

Background: On the night of 14-15 May, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with six missiles and 141 strike UAVs and decoy drones of various types. Air defence forces downed 130 Russian UAVs and one Kh-31P missile, and strikes were recorded at six locations.
