Reform UK leader explains stance on Ukraine after flag is removed from council building

Nigel Farage, the leader of the British right-wing populist party Reform UK, has stated that the party supports the people of Ukraine but is against foreign flags being flown on government buildings. His comments came after a Ukrainian flag was removed from the office of Essex County Council.

Details: Council leader Peter Harris described the decision as a "proud moment".
"The replacement of the Ukraine flag does not diminish the support and generosity that Essex residents have shown the people of Ukraine since 2022, and I know this will continue," Harris said.
Background: The newly elected Reform UK administration in Essex removed a Ukrainian flag that had been flying outside the council building in Chelmsford. Farage confirmed that the Ukrainian flag has been replaced with the flag of the United Kingdom.
