Russian aerial bomb kills local resident in Belgorod Oblast – photos
A man was killed in the settlement of Dubovoye in Russia's Belgorod Oblast on Saturday 16 May after a Russian aerial bomb fell on a house. However, the authorities concealed the cause of his death.

Details: According to Pepel Belgorod, the FAB bomb fell on the house at about 05:00. Afterwards, the authorities organised the evacuation of residents from two neighbouring apartment buildings.
At 07:47, the regional operational staff reported the death of a man in the settlement of Dubovoye in the Belgorod district. However, the authorities did not disclose that he had been killed by a Russian aerial bomb falling on his home.
The bomb damaged the roof, windows, utilities and interior of the house.
Later, Pepel reported that the Russian aerial bomb which killed the resident of Dubovoye had been removed from the basement of the house – during the fall, it had pierced the roof and several floors.
The FAB bomb was loaded onto a truck with an excavator and transported to a training ground.
Background:
- On 13 May, a Russian fighter jet dropped a high-explosive aerial bomb onto railway tracks in the Yakovlevsky district of Belgorod Oblast during a combat sortie, causing an electric-powered train to derail.
