More than 50% of businesses in Ukrainian frontline territories are either not operating or functioning only on a partial basis, with up to 100,000 jobs lost.

Details: "Today, more than 6.6 million people live in frontline areas. These are communities that work every day under conditions of constant attacks, high security risks and destroyed infrastructure," Kuleba said.

He noted that at least 50% of the State Fund for Regional Development is directed towards projects in frontline hromadas. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]

Quote: "At the same time, we are changing the very approach to state regional policy. For the first time, the concept of 'frontline territories' has been enshrined in the state strategy for regional development, and separate priorities for their support have been defined: rapid repairs of housing and critical infrastructure, development of protective infrastructure and support for healthcare, education, logistics, the agricultural sector and business."
