Ukraine strikes Russian anti-sabotage vessel in Dagestan

Units from Ukraine's defence forces struck a number of important facilities belonging to Russian forces on 17 May and on the night of 17-18 May.

Details: In particular, a Grachonok-class anti-sabotage vessel was struck in the area of Kaspiisk in Russia's Republic of Dagestan. Vessels of this type are used to guard naval basing points and counter sabotage forces.

Russian UAV command posts were also struck in the areas of Rozdolne and Shevchenko in Donetsk Oblast, Dvorichna in Kharkiv Oblast, Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia Oblast and Karnatnoye in Russia's Bryansk Oblast.

In addition, Ukrainian troops struck clusters of Russian personnel in Piddubne in Donetsk Oblast and in Olhyne in Kherson Oblast.

Based on the results of verifying previous operations, it is confirmed that on 17 May 2026 a communications hub was struck in Myrne in the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea, a Tor-M2 surface-to-air missile system was struck in Zakhidne in the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk Oblast and a fuel and lubricants train was struck in Fedorivka in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk Oblast, the General Staff notes.

The General Staff also confirms that on 16 May, as a result of the strike on the Yeysk airfield in Russia's Krasnodar Krai, a Ka-27 helicopter and a Be-200 maritime patrol aircraft were destroyed.

In addition, it is confirmed that on 16 May, an airspace control station in Lesnoi in Russia's Bryansk Oblast was struck.
