Ukrainian military receives new batch of Canadian Roshel Senator armoured vehicles – photos

Servicemen from the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine's State Special Transport Service have received 20 Canadian-made Roshel Senator armoured vehicles.

Details: The vehicles, which are equipped with mine protection, were purchased as part of a collaboration within the Demining Coalition.
"These vehicles will significantly improve the safety of personnel carrying out tasks related to clearing territories of explosive hazards," the State Special Transport Service said.



The Roshel Senator is a Canadian armoured vehicle built on a Ford F-550 4×4 chassis with a 6.7-litre diesel engine and is capable of carrying up to 10 troops. The vehicle has STANAG 4569 ballistic protection and, in the MRAP version, features a V-shaped mine-resistant underbody capable of withstanding explosions equivalent to up to 6 kg of TNT.
Background:
- Earlier, it was reported that Canada announced in February it would be supplying Ukraine with 449 armoured vehicles, including 383 Roshel Senator vehicles.
- As of December 2025, Ukraine had already received more than 2,000 Canadian-made Roshel Senator armoured vehicles.
