Russian strikes leave consumers in six Ukrainian oblasts without electricity

Some consumers in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy and Kharkiv oblasts are temporarily without electricity as a result of hostilities and Russian strikes on energy facilities.

Details: "Energy workers are working flat out to restore electricity supply to all consumers as quickly as possible. Repair work is continuing around the clock," the statement reads.

No restrictions are forecast for today. Ukrenergo advises consumers to follow updates on electricity supply via the official resources of their distribution system operators.

Background: On the night of 25-26 May, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 122 strike and decoy drones. Ukraine shot down 111 drones; the attack is ongoing.
