Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a series of separate meetings on 26 May with leaders of parliamentary factions and groups, rather than a single large meeting as had been expected.

One parliamentary faction leader told Ukrainska Pravda that the format of separate meetings had proved effective.

In the morning, Zelenskyy met Oleh Kulinich, the leader of Trust, a parliamentary group; representatives of For the Future; Yurii Boiko, who represents the Platform for Life and Peace, a group formed by former members of the banned Opposition Platform – For Life; and Antonina Slavytska, the official leader of Revival of Ukraine, a group associated with Vadym Stolar, who was once part of the banned Opposition Platform – For Life.

A separate meeting was also held with Dmytro Razumkov, a former speaker of the Verkhovna Rada. Although he does not lead any parliamentary faction or group, he heads Smart Politics, an inter-factional association.

In the afternoon, at around 15:00, the president met with European Solidarity leader Petro Poroshenko, Batkivshchyna (Fatherland) party leader Yuliia Tymoshenko and Holos (Voice) faction leader Oleksandra Ustinova.
