Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has said a new chapter is opening in relations with Hungary.

Details: In his post, Sybiha expressed gratitude to the Cypriot presidency in the Council of the European Union "for its leadership in advancing Ukraine's EU accession process".
Quote: "I also appreciate Hungary's constructive engagement. We are opening a new chapter in Ukraine-Hungary relations – one built on mutual respect, trust and our shared European future."
More details: Sybiha also thanked all EU member states, the European Commission and EU institutions "for their unwavering support".
Background:
- Sybiha's comments came amid reports that Ukraine and Hungary had reached agreements on ethnic minority issues.
- After that, the Cypriot presidency of the Council of the European Union announced the start of the formal process for opening the first EU accession negotiating cluster for Ukraine.
- European Pravda reported that the opening of this first negotiating cluster (Fundamentals) for Ukraine and Moldova is planned for 15 June.
