Leaders of France, UK and Germany to meet Zelenskyy in London on 7 June

The leaders of France, the UK and Germany will meet in London on Sunday 7 June, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has also been invited to meet with them.

Details: The French president's office has announced that Emmanuel Macron will travel to London on 7 June for talks with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. They will then meet with Zelenskyy, who has also been invited to London.

"This meeting will allow us to continue our close coordination on our shared agenda of maintaining support for Ukraine and increasing pressure on Russia," the Élysée Palace said, adding that Russia is currently facing a difficult economic and strategic situation and is not achieving success on the battlefield.

Quote: "This meeting will also provide an opportunity to discuss efforts aimed at achieving a just and lasting peace in Ukraine and Europe, particularly with regard to the Coalition of the Willing."

Details: Macron is scheduled to arrive at Downing Street at 18:30 local time, whereupon the European leaders' trilateral meeting will begin immediately.

The meeting between Starmer, Macron and Merz and Zelenskyy is due to begin an hour later.
