A Russian drone struck a building at Ukraine's Centralised Spent Fuel Storage Facility (CSFSF) in Kyiv Oblast on the night of 6-7 June.

Details: The attack took place at 02:10. The drone partially destroyed the container reception building, although no spent nuclear fuel was stored there.

The fire affected an area of 40 sq m and was subsequently extinguished. Radiation levels at the CSFSF site remain within normal limits.

The CSFSF is used for the long-term storage of spent nuclear fuel from Ukrainian operating nuclear power plants. It is located in Chornobyl.

Background: Russian forces launched strikes on Zaporizhzhia on the night of 6-7 June, leaving one district of the city partially without electricity and causing a fire.
