As of this morning, consumers in Sumy, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson Oblasts have been left without electricity as a result of Russian drone strikes and artillery shelling.

However, electricity consumption has decreased. As of 09:30 today, 11 June, it was 1.2% lower than at the same time the previous day, Wednesday 10 June.

The reason for the change is clear weather conditions across Ukraine.

Ukrenergo is asking consumers to shift their use of high-power electrical appliances to the period of peak output of industrial solar power plants – from 10:00 to 15:00 – and to use electricity sparingly during the evening peak hours – between 18:00 and 22:00.

Background: The Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian parliament) has approved amendments to the state budget that will allow additional funds to be allocated to ensure the safe operation of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant and the exclusion zone.
