Details: Kachka said he has always admired the European Union's ability to reconcile differing positions and reach joint decisions even when compromise had seemed impossible, adding that he has been impressed by the work of those who prepared for the opening of the first negotiating cluster with Ukraine.
"I think we will see the same unanimity when it comes to opening the remaining clusters. At this point, I believe there is broad consensus on this issue... and that the process will be very successful," Kachka said.
Background: On Monday 15 June, during the second EU Intergovernmental Conference in Luxembourg, the European Union officially announced the launch of negotiations with Kyiv under the first negotiating cluster, formally marking the start of Ukraine's EU accession talks.
