Business Insider, citing manufacturer data, reported earlier that the Ukrainian Vyrivniuvach guided bomb costs approximately three times less than the American JDAM-ER guidance kit.

The news outlet also noted that the system had been under development for almost 18 months. The Vyrivniuvach is reportedly equipped with a 250kg warhead. Brave1, a Ukrainian government-backed defence technology accelerator, stated that the system was built from scratch.

Brave1 also clarified that the bomb is compatible with Ukrainian aircraft and weapon systems. Furthermore, it can be deployed from F-16 and Mirage fighter jets following additional certification.

Background: In May, Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov announced that a member of Brave1 has created the first Ukrainian guided aerial bomb, which has passed the necessary tests and is ready for combat use.
