NATO secretary general reveals what he discussed with Zelenskyy in Brussels

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has revealed the topics he discussed with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy when the latter arrived in Brussels.

Details: On the morning of 18 June, Rutte said that he had met with the Ukrainian president after Zelenskyy's arrival in Belgium the previous day. Journalists then asked the NATO secretary general to share what they had discussed during the meeting.

Rutte said they had spoken about the issues they "always discuss", particularly the war.

Quote: "Ukraine is really doing well. We see the reports coming in of how many Russian losses there are each month… And then of course, how we can help Ukraine to have the weapon systems, the air defence systems."

Details: Rutte noted that Zelenskyy was "in a good place".

"He just came back from the G7 [summit – ed.]. I think it was a very good meeting," he added.
