Ukraine's Special Operations Forces (SOF) struck the Rostovnefteprodukt oil depot and a fuel and lubricant storage facility in Russia's Rostov Oblast on the night of 17-18 June.

Quote: "On the night of 17-18 June, Deep Strike units from the Special Operations Forces, in cooperation with the Chornaya Iskra resistance movement operating in the Russian Federation, struck the Rostovnefteprodukt oil depot and a fuel and lubricant storage facility in the city of Gukovo, Rostov Oblast, Russia.

Details: The SOF noted that the targeted facilities form part of a system used for the storage, transshipment and distribution of fuel and lubricants, petrol, diesel fuel and other petroleum products.

Background: On the night of 17-18 June, Ukrainian drones struck the Moscow oil refinery in Kapotnya, causing a major fire. Russian media outlets said the attack was the largest in the past two years. This is the second successful attack on a strategic Russian facility in three days.
