Australia to provide Ukraine with an additional US$35 million in military aid

The Australian government will provide Ukraine with an additional AU$100 million in assistance to procure critical military equipment.

Details: The department said that, following its commitment to provide AUD 50 million (approx. US$35 million) under the PURL initiative in December 2025, Australia will make two further contributions of AUD 50 million each over the next 12 months. Details: The Department of Defence said the additional funding brings the country's total support for Ukraine to more than AUD 1.8 billion (approx. US$1.25 billion), including more than AUD 1.6 billion (approx. US$1.1 billion) in military assistance since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
Australia also continues to participate in the Coalition of the Willing. In addition, the Australian Defence Force continues to train Ukrainian service personnel under Operation Kudu.
Australia remains steadfast in its support for Ukraine as it defends itself against Russian aggression.
