Sixth firefighter injured in Russian double-tap strike on Kharkiv on 15 June dies in hospital

A sixth firefighter who was injured during Russia's double-tap strike on Kharkiv on 15 June has died in hospital.

Quote: "Sadly, we have another casualty of the Russian strike on Kharkiv on the night of 14-15 June: this morning, State Emergency Service employee Mykola Derkach died in hospital after sustaining serious injuries during the secondary Russian strike.
Mykola Derkach was the duty shift commander of the 6th State Fire and Rescue Unit, a Major of the Civil Defence Service. He was 48 years old. He is survived by a daughter and mother."
Details: The State Emergency Service reported that doctors had fought to save Derkach's life for several days.
"Mykola became the sixth person to die following the Russian strike, along with firefighters Dmytro Boiko, Danylo Tishchenko, Serhii Makovetskyi, Vadym Zinchenko and chief specialist of the Emergency Situations Department of Kharkiv City Council Oleksii Dorozhkin," the statement says.
Background: On 15 June, firefighters in Kharkiv arrived at the scene of a fire that broke out as a result of a Russian strike.The Russians then struck the same site again. Five firefighters were reported killed at the time.
