Russians attack energy infrastructure in seven regions, with Donetsk and Kherson oblasts hardest hit

New power outages have been reported in seven regions of Ukraine as of the morning of 22 June following a large-scale Russian attack.

Details: The affected regions are Sumy, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk and Kherson oblasts.
The situation is most severe in the latter two regions.
"Where security conditions currently allow, emergency repair and recovery work has already begun. Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore power to all affected consumers as quickly as possible," the statement said.
Energy officials are urging consumers to shift their peak electricity use to the period between 10:00 and 16:00.
Background: On 22 June, it was reported that three people had been injured in a Russian drone attack on Zaporizhzhia. Another woman remained trapped inside a building where a fire had broken out.
